Art therapy is a combination of the creative process and psychotherapy. The art can be thought of as an additional language in sessions, encouraging self-exploration and insight. Using imagery, colour, texture, and shape as part of this process, thoughts and emotions can be expressed that could otherwise be difficult to articulate.
